Air Canada Moves its Domestic and International Operations to New Terminal 1 at Toronto Pearson Airport
MONTREAL, April 5 /CNW Telbec/ - Commencing April 6, 2004, Air Canada,
Air Canada Jazz and Air Canada Vacation's (ACV) customers will check-in for
domestic and international flights at new Terminal 1 at Toronto's Pearson
Airport. Customers travelling to the United States on Air Canada, Air Canada
Jazz, and ACV will continue to check-in at Terminal 2.

Air Canada customers will find a number of features in the new terminal
that are geared to making their travel experience seamless and efficient
including: 48 check-in kiosks in locations convenient to the customer;
88 check-in counters; a new customer service counter located at the gate area
to facilitate changes to our customers' travel plans; our newest Maple Leaf
Lounge with seating capacity for 330 people; and a new Customer Care Centre
for our customers with specific needs.

gateway for Canada and North America," said Montie Brewer, Executive Vice
President, Commercial for Air Canada. "More than 50,000 Air Canada customers
fly to, from or connect through our Toronto hub every day. A redeveloped hub
in Toronto allows Air Canada to explore additional markets and offer our
customers service to new destinations around the world."
Air Canada recently announced it will continue to expand its services to
Latin America with the introduction of non-stop flights from Toronto to
Caracas, Venezuela; Bogota, Colombia; and Lima, Peru. Air Canada thus becomes
the only airline offering scheduled, non-stop service between Canada and these
three South American countries.
Air Canada and Air Canada Jazz operate up to 650 daily arrivals and
departures from Toronto serving more than 100 destinations. Air Canada makes
up approximately 70 per cent of all of Toronto Pearson's traffic and 35 per
cent of Air Canada's operations are based in Toronto. In addition, Air Canada
contributes $3 billion directly and indirectly to the local economy and has
more than 13,000 employees based in Toronto, serving up to 50,000 passengers
everyday.
