HALIFAX, Aug. 10 /CNW Telbec/ - Air Canada Jazz crews elected to divert a Montreal-Washington (Reagan) scheduled flight into Baltimore MD in order to have local authorities investigate an unidentified package which was found on board. Flight number 7652 landed safely in Baltimore and passengers were deplaned so that local authorities could investigate. The crew opted to divert as a precautionary measure.

After a thorough investigation by local authorities the aircraft was released. The package turned out to be non-threatening.

Passengers were transported to their final destination of Washington.
