HALIFAX, Sep. 5, 2006 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX News Network) -- Air Canada Jazz advises customers that there will be a limited number of cancellations and some delays to Jazz flights for the remainder of the day as a result of a computer system outage earlier today which has now been corrected. Air Canada flights were not affected by this computer system outage.

It is recommended that customers traveling today on Jazz flights (AC7650 to AC8999) check on the status of their flight prior to leaving for the airport by consulting the Air Canada website at aircanada.com, or by calling Air Canada's automated flight information system at 1-888-422-7533, or by using a web-enhanced cell phone.

Customers with flights impacted today wishing to make alternative travel arrangements can do so without penalty, space permitting, through Air Canada Reservations at 1-888-247-2262; TTY: 1-800-361-8071.

Jazz apologizes to customers for any inconvenience caused by this system outage.
