Nuclio Deploys EMC E-Infostructure for Managed Storage Services; Rapidly Delivers Business Benefits of EMC Proven E-Infostructure to Customers
HOPKINTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 19, 2000--EMC Corporation, the world leader in information storage, today announced Nuclio Corporation has joined the EMC E-Infostructure Service Provider Program and has deployed an EMC information infrastructure as the foundation of its managed storage services business. Nuclio provides leading companies with highly reliable, scalable services based entirely on EMC Enterprise Storage.
Announced last month, the E-Infostructure Service Provider Program enables service providers to fully leverage EMC's expertise to achieve business success by quickly deploying and delivering a range of services around the benefits of an EMC information infrastructure.
"One of our main priorities is to offer a great breadth of services to our customers through best-of-breed vendors," said John Jazwiec, Nuclio's President and CEO. "Working closely with EMC helps us satisfy and deliver on that priority. As a result of our extensive relationship, we are very familiar with the business benefits that an E-Infostructure brings to customers and have incorporated those features, along with our solutions, into our unique portfolio of services."
Chicago-based Nuclio allows its customers to achieve time-to-market advantages by quickly and reliably deploying an EMC information infrastructure -- E-Infostructure -- and providing 24x7 management and monitoring of their application and entire IT infrastructure environment on a contractual basis. EMC has a long-standing reseller alliance with Nuclio's parent company, Forsythe Technology, a nationwide systems integrator and value-added reseller with 30 years of experience in the industry and over 2,000 customers.
In 1998, Forsythe developed ITWatch, a service that proactively managed and monitored IT components around the clock. The service was enormously successful, and in January 2000, Nuclio was founded to bring this and other services to market. In addition to Forsythe's nationwide sales force and experience in deploying EMC information infrastructures, Nuclio benefits from $10 million in research and development in technology automation over the past three years.
Joe Tucci, EMC's President and Chief Operating Officer, said, "Through our alliance with Forsythe, we understand the value and expertise Nuclio brings to this market. Nuclio, in turn, understands the power, value and underlying technology strengths of an EMC E-Infostructure. That foundation gives Nuclio the ability to quickly address new customer demands and allows customers to quickly and efficiently implement an EMC information infrastructure to meet their business needs."
Nuclio's services and the customers who use them are included in the EMC Proven E-Infostructure program. EMC Proven is a certification and joint marketing program that identifies companies that have built their business on a world-class EMC information infrastructure. Over 100 companies, including more than 20 leading service providers, are already members of the program.
