News Release -
1-Jul-2008
NCI, Inc. Added to the Russell 3000 Index RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 1, 2008--NCI, Inc.
(NASDAQ:NCIT), a leading provider of information technology (IT),
engineering, and professional services and solutions to U.S. federal
government agencies, announced today that it has been added to the
U.S. broad-market Russell 3000(R) Index after the equity markets
closed on June 27 as Russell Investments reconstituted its
comprehensive family of global indexes.
NCI is pleased to be included in this prestigious index. We are
proud of our past successes which we attribute to our unwavering
commitment to total customer satisfaction and delivering on our
promises to customers, employees, and stockholders. Our top priority
remains building relationships based on trust, integrity, and
performance, stated Charles K. Narang, Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer.
The Russell 3000 also serves as the U.S. component to the Russell
Global Index, which Russell launched last year. Russell indexes are
widely used by investment managers and institutional investors for
index funds and as benchmarks for both passive and active investment
strategies. An industry-leading $4.4 trillion in assets currently are
benchmarked to them. These investment tools originated from Russell's
multi-manager investment business in the early 1980s when the company
saw the need for a more objective, market-driven set of benchmarks in
order to evaluate outside investment managers.
