Alimentation Couche-Tard Becomes Exclusive Cantel AT&T Pay As You Go DistributorMONTREAL, Feb. 2 /CNW/ - Rogers Cantel, Canada's largest national
wireless telecommunications company, and Alimentation Couche-Tard, Canada's
leading chain of convenience stores, have just signed an exclusive national
distribution agreement for Cantel(R) AT&T(TM) Pay As You Go prepaid cellular
services.
Effective today, over 500 points of distribution throughout Quebec will
begin selling Cantel AT&T Pay As You Go cards. Further locations in Ontario
and western Canada may be added throughout 1999. The addition of Alimentation
Couche-Tard retail locations brings the number of Cantel AT&T distribution
locations to over 4,500 right across the country.
``Our customers have told us that part of the simplicity of Cantel AT&T
Pay As You Go is in the fact that you can easily purchase the cards at
locations where they shop,'' said Mr. Francis Fox, President, Quebec and
Eastern Canada, Rogers Cantel Inc. ``The addition of Alimentation Couche-Tard
to our distribution network, further extends this availability to serve even
more Canadians coast to coast.''
Cantel AT&T Pay As You Go is Canada's number one prepaid service, with
over 120,000 subscribers at the end of 1998. With no monthly service fee, no
credit check, no contract and no daily access fee, Cantel AT&T Pay As You Go
services offer the ultimate in convenience and control.

Alimentation Couche-Tard. ``We almost doubled the number of locations within
just one year, including the number of stores open 24 hours a day, seven days
