Rogers AT&T Wireless Launches Emergency Collection Program Throughout GTA
TORONTO, Feb. 18 /CNW/ -
WHY: The supply of warm blankets and sleeping bags being distributed to
Toronto's homeless has reached a critically low level. Milder
temperatures this winter have led to a reduced number of
donations, causing severe health problems for the city's estimated
5,000 homeless.
WHAT: Project Warmth and Rogers AT&T Wireless will launch an urgent
appeal for warm blankets and sleeping bags at a media conference
to introduce a GTA-wide emergency collection program. Rogers
employees will make the first donations to help respond to this
critical appeal for action.
