Staples.com Mobile Website Brings Easy to Customers' SmartphonesM.Staples.com Provides Full Site-Experience
FRAMINGHAM, Mass., Jun 15, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Staples,
the world's largest office products company and a trusted source for
office solutions, today announced a new mobile Staples.com website,
M.Staples.com, which brings easy to customers' smartphones. The new
mobile site features enhanced product ratings and reviews, one click to
an optimized Ink
& Toner finder, a Staples retail store locator with automatic
GPS, store inventory lookup and enhanced on-site search, including an
auto-suggest feature. Whether shopping for cleaning
and breakroom supplies or checking out the latest tablets,
customers can easily turn to M.Staples.com.
Staples understands that today's small business owners and consumers are
constantly on the go. Particularly important to them is the ability to
access product information whenever and wherever they want, and Staples'
new mobile site gives them a full-site experience, with rich product
details, ratings and reviews. In addition, as customers increasingly
engage their favorite brands through social media, the new mobile
website also allows users to share product reviews and become
a fan of Staples on Facebook, or follow
Staples on Twitter.
"At Staples we're always looking for ways to bring easy to our
customers, wherever they are, so they can research, shop and buy a wide
range of products and services for their office," said Steven Bussberg,
Senior Vice President, Staples.com. "Mobile devices offer new and
exciting ways for us to engage with customers whether they're in their
homes or offices, on the road, or in one of our stores."
The new mobile site at M.Staples.com also makes cross-channel shopping
easier for customers. From their smartphones, customers can order a
product and have it shipped to their nearest Staples, locate the closest
Staples retail location and check available inventory, and, while in a
Staples store, quickly scan product reviews online. M.Staples.com also
features a synchronized shopping cart, which allows users to log-in,
browse items and add them to their cart right from the mobile web site,
on Staples.com, or at one of the in-store kiosks at Staples' retail
locations.
M.Staples.com is a major enhancement to Staples' first generation mobile
website, which was launched last year and works with all smartphones,
including early versions of Blackberry. Staples' overall mobile
experience also includes a smartphone app for the iPhone.
