URS Awarded Department of Defense Contract to Support Contract Field Team Program SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 11, 2008--URS Corporation
(NYSE: URS) today announced that the Company is one of eleven firms
that has been selected for an award of an indefinite
delivery/indefinite quantity contract by the Department of Defense's
(DoD) Contract Field Team (CFT) program to provide depot and
organizational level inspection, maintenance, modification and repair
at operational government locations worldwide. The firms would manage
a scope of work with a maximum value of approximately $10.2 billion
over seven years.
Under the terms of the contract, URS will provide the DoD with a
broad range of maintenance and logistics related services in support
of weapons systems and associated components used by the DoD and other
federal agencies, at more than 60 sites worldwide. As part of this
contract, URS also will support fixed and rotary wing aircraft,
wheeled and tracked vehicles, and military support equipment. The CFT
program supports the active, reserve, and guard components of the U.S.
Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marines, NASA, and the U.S.
Coast Guard.
