URS Selected By Army Corps of Engineers to Provide Environmental ServicesContract Has Potential Value of $14.9 Million
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - February 25, 2002 - URS Corporation (NYSE: URS) today announced that it has been awarded a new contract by the Omaha District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to provide environmental services at various sites in the USACE's Northwestern Division, which includes portions of Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado. While individual task orders are not specified in the contract, URS' activities are likely to include site investigations, evaluations and studies, engineering support and response design, and response actions, including short-term operations and maintenance activities. The five-year contract has a potential value to URS of $14.9 million.
Commenting on the contract, Martin M. Koffel, URS Chairman and CEO, said: "I am very pleased to announce this new contract win, which represents a continuation of our long relationship with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
