Since its Initial Public Offering (IPO), Equity Office has nearly quadrupled in size, growing from 32.2 million square feet to 124 million square feet through strategic acquisitions including the Beacon Properties, Inc. merger in December 1997; the Cornerstone Properties, Inc. merger in June 2000; and the Spieker Properties, Inc. merger in July 2001.
