Founded in 1944 as a plastic research and development company, STR Holdings Inc. expanded and evolved into two core businesses - Solar Encapsulants Manufacturing and Quality Assurance (QA) Services. Today, STR is one of the world's leading providers of high quality, superior performance PhotoCap® solar encapsulants for the photovoltaic (PV) module industry, serving more than 80 customers worldwide. The Company helped to pioneer the solar encapsulant market more than 30 years ago with the invention of the first product and continues to innovate through its extensive R&D program which has led to the introduction of new technologies. STR's Quality Assurance Services business is one of the top providers of quality testing, audit, inspection, and responsible sourcing services in the world. |
